13 YOUNG ARCHITECTS OF FLORIDA

SPACE: UM SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE

LOCATION: CORAL GABLES, FL

DATES: 2011

CURATED BY: EACH ARCHITECT

Following a call for portfolios, 13 young architects, 40 years of age or younger, were selected by a juried panel (Rachel Valbrun (UM), Benjamin Malik (FIU), Stefan Horner (Herzog & DeMeuron, Miami-NY), and architecture critic/author Beth Dunlop) to present a selection of their work.

The exhibition’s goal was to present theoretical, research-oriented, and/or non-commissioned works that exemplify excellence in architecture and urban design; outstanding examples of commissioned architectural and urban design works not yet built or completed; outstanding examples of built architecture and/or urban design works; and other types of design such as furniture design, stage design, etc.

Curated by the architects themselves, the exhibition included models, drawings, videos, photographs, furniture and installations.
