When global warming, disease, and natural disasters threaten the sustainability of our environment, this illuminated, organic installation is a testament to man’s endemic relationship with the world. Clad in a vertical garden, illuminated at night, and filled with a functioning Wii for Fitness, the Grass House serves as a metaphor, beacon and interactive object. Most importantly, it celebrates Miami and its myriad efforts in becoming a leader in sustainable redevelopment and green building principles.
The pavilion would be placed in a public plaza or in a courtyard. It would be built out of pipe scaffolding and G-Sky Green Wall panels. This would facilitate the transporting of the structure as well as its removal. The vertical garden that covers the building would include plants of local descent.
